Meet the Team Behind Beau's Waterproofing

Three decades of experience, hands-on craftsmanship, and a commitment to doing the job right.

Beau Kieswetter, Founder and Owner of Beau's Waterproofing

Beau Kieswetter

Founder & Owner

Beau founded Beau's Waterproofing in 1995 and has built it into one of Cape Town's most trusted waterproofing companies over the past three decades. He has worked closely with Derbigum for many years, both as an approved contractor and in an advisory capacity, and has been instrumental in the design of countless waterproofing systems across the Western Cape.

His motto: 'Small enough to care, but big enough to accept any job or challenge that comes my way.'

Matt Kieswetter, Operations Manager at Beau's Waterproofing

Matthew Kieswetter

Operations Manager

Matt heads up day-to-day operations at Beau's Waterproofing. After matriculating, he spent seven months with Quest Africa in the Eastern Cape, where he developed a strong work ethic and a leadership philosophy built on humility, gratitude, respect, and servanthood.

He then spent two years working overseas on super yachts before joining the family business — starting from the ground up, working alongside the team and learning every aspect of the trade. The lessons from Quest, super yachts, and the field continue to shape how he leads.

Desiree De Waal, Operations and HR at Beau's Waterproofing

Desiree De Waal

Operations & HR

Desiree holds a National Diploma in Logistics Management and studied Procurement and Operations Management at Varsity College, along with a financial accounting course at The Centre for Business Learning.

She cut her teeth in the construction industry over 35 years ago and, after working across multiple industries, returned to construction to join the Beau's Waterproofing team. She values integrity, professionalism, and a workplace built on smiles and laughter.

Martinno Lott, Foreman at Beau's Waterproofing

Martinno Lott
